Francis Bacon, Novum Organum, now online http://constitution.org/bacon/bacon.htm The New Organon (Novum Organum) by Francis Bacon, Baron Verulam, (1620) provided a unified organization of scientific ideas that with some variations we still use today. This paradigm included political science and law, and Bacon outlines some of the key ideas of constitutional design. Bacon was an official of the English court. This rendition is based on the standard translation of James Spedding, Robert Leslie Ellis, and Douglas Denon Heath in _The Works of Francis Bacon_ (Vol. VIII), published in Boston by Taggard and Thompson in 1863. Also included in this online release are The Great Instauration and Preparative toward a Natural and Experimental History. The New Atlantis was previously put online.
