I
0:05
am hello everyone my name is kha Rod I'm the candidate for the 22nd congressional
0:10
district and I have led the charge throughout my campaign to have the
0:16
courage and guts to recognize that we have a failed leadership we have a leadership that is representing a sense
0:22
of tragedy in our nation and we need people that are going to have the courage to stand up and tell the truth
0:27
and that's what I've done my campaign has has been based on the policy that we have no longer to wait to deal with this
0:35
economic crisis that is hitting our country now I have called for the immediate removal and impeachment of a
0:41
president of President Obama my campaign has called for I the Democrats that won
0:47
53% of the vote calling for President Obama's impeachment we cannot allow for
0:52
this president to stay in office and destroy our nation the second thing as I let the charge on saving NASA I can tell
0:59
you now my opponent Pete Olsen has done everything to continue to back up and
1:05
capitulate to This president's policies including the shutdown of NASA and many of you know that we just gave honor to
1:12
our space program and to NASA for what they did in Chile that would not have happened without NASA we have to revive
1:20
full funding of our manspace flight that's what I'm calling for we have to put millions of people back to work in
1:26
productive jobs and this means a mission orientation for the country this is why I'm calling on a program to
1:33
end the bailouts now that's the first step of order and reinstate glass seal banking reorganization what Franklin
1:39
Roosevelt put into place back in 1933 to separate the investment Banks from your
1:45
savings no speculation on your money and secondly what we have to do is to make
1:51
sure that we're investing in our long-term infrastructure projects we can put millions of people to work in
1:58
productive jobs now by implementing programs such as the North American Water and Power Alliance you know when Y
2:05
F Kennedy was charting the course for a moon landing we were also at the same
2:11
time putting projects in place for water infrastructure projects for massive rail
2:16
systems for actually transforming the biosphere Greening the deserts we can do
2:21
all of these things why aren't we doing them right now because of Wall Street
2:26
and we got to kick the Wall Street faction out of the Congress democrat or republican anyone who is capitulating to
2:34
these spelled uh policies should be out and this is why you're here today
2:39
because you recognize there is a tragedy in our country and it's going to take a movement to go back to those principles
2:46
of our constittution of the people for the people and by the people and this is
2:52
what we need and we can no longer afford to look at our our country be looked at
2:59
as going into a state of a complete economic breakdown crisis we used to be
3:06
the model for the entire world what happened to that why are we depending on other nations uh to lead the way into uh
3:13
space programs right now why are we leading depending on other nations to lead the way in our energy Pro policies
3:21
excuse me but we can go even further nuclear power highspeed rail systems we
3:27
can actually have a mission or orentation for the next 25 to 50 years we can make sure that we have a mission
3:34
for colonizing the moon and Mars mining helium 3 on the moon all of these things
3:39
that we used to have a mission for we don't we no longer have that mission and so this is why I ask that you get behind
3:48
my campaign because I can tell you now my C my opponent Pete olssen is not
3:53
going to do it and I will get in there and fight for your interest and actually have the guts to stand up and tell the
3:59
truth and so I ask that you go and tell your friends my website address is kesa for congress.com I do apologize I may
4:07
have to leave and go to another event so please send me your announcements thank you very
4:28
much
4:36
okay our next speaker will be candidate for governor Andy is it
4:42
Baron that's okay is that close enough close come
4:53
on actually this morning I was on the radio in Victoria and it's Bon but in West Texas it's
5:01
Baron nice to meet you I really appreciate you having me here this evening uh had an opportunity to travel
5:08
all over the state meet people and uh we were in the Kingwood tea party recently and I I was thinking Kathy class would
5:14
be here today it was a pleasure to meet her she's a very fine person um to give you a little information on why I'm
5:21
standing in front of you I'm an orthodontist i' got five kids had no
5:26
interest in being a governor of Texas or being in the campaign for governor Texas but on junee the 30th I felt like I
5:34
received a vision from the Lord and I felt after that there wasn't really an option this morning I was asking him
5:40
what I should talk about when I got here tonight and I had no idea I don't give speeches and I just speak off of what I
5:47
believe the Lord's telling me to say and this is what I heard this morning our nation right now is represented by a
5:54
fleet of ships Texas is a battleship California an aircraft carrier Arizona a
6:00
battleship Kansas Nebraska cargo ships our fleet has been led into a
6:07
Minefield by our commander-in-chief intentionally or not that's where we are our governor right
6:14
now Rick Perry believes that we can charge he says we have been here before
6:21
and we can do it again and I don't know if that's true or not but what I see in front of us right now is a mindfield
6:28
that's huge it's a deficit it's border control it's farming issues it's all
6:34
kinds of things that should have been dealt with by now and haven't been that's why I'm a candidate for governor
6:41
on July the 1st this year I signed up to run Governor Perry saying we should
6:47
charge Bill white saying we need to turn left Kathy I believe would tell you we
6:53
need to turn right and what I'm saying is we need to do a U-turn and get out of this thing we need to back out we need
7:01
to get redirected and we need to look to the leadership that got us where we got to in this country and that's God Amen
7:09
and I believe I believe that we can approach
7:15
God through his son Jesus Christ now that's my belief I believe that we
7:21
should ask that of people that are running for candidacies before they get elected or we're going to have a
7:26
president that we don't know what he believes and I believe that if you look
7:32
at my slogan it says what President Obama said it says yes we can but I
7:37
added two words after that through Christ that's that's Philippians 4:13
7:44
now that is how we can get this turned around I don't see any other Solutions I believe that we're in a situation right
7:51
now where most people are treating the symptoms and ignoring the disease the
7:56
disease is a loss of belief in God it's in our schools we need prayer back in
8:02
our schools it's in our government and our government is doing a lot to change that
8:08
right now but we've got to get it back in our schools it's the foundation of Education if we're going to see our kids
8:15
do well in school they' got to have something to believe in that's the most critical issue spoken prayer in school
8:22
is what needs to happen a moment of silent meditation isn't cutting it that's right um other issues that I
8:28
believe are going to need to be dealt with and this is one that I hope we'll see happen and that's we need to limit
8:34
how long people are in political office extremely debated issue but I
8:41
believe two terms is enough and after someone serve two terms if they need to they can run again after they set out a
8:48
term nothing wrong with that I'm at the yellow light I wasn't planning on how long I would speak I just uh want to
8:55
thank you for letting me be here and uh if you could I'd just like to close you in just a moment of prayer Lord we ask
9:01
in Jesus name for all these candidates to be blessed and that their their petition and their favor would be given
9:06
on them but in the name of Jesus Christ Lord we ask in his name amen
9:20
amen red light hit and I'm supposed to jump up and tell them to sit down I'm supposed to mute it
9:27
folks I'm not going to do that man praying I'm
9:33
sorry candidate for Attorney General John
9:42
Roland thank you for having me this is typical of an event that is
9:50
occurring this year that is unlike anything I've seen in my 50-year experience as involved in politics
9:59
when this country was founded a person could stand for office and he didn't have to spend a
10:06
dime to get elected all he had to do was give speeches the newspapers would take
10:12
them down to verbatim and people would buy the newspapers we have to ask what happened
10:20
in the interim why is it necessary now to raise it looks like we're going to be
10:25
looking at $3 trillion in this coming election I'm
10:31
sorry three billion okay my name is John Roland I am the
10:37
libertarian nominee for Texas Attorney
10:42
General I am by background in training a mathematician and computer
10:48
scientist I have spent a good deal of my time also
10:54
becoming a qualified legal historian and the founder found and president of an
11:00
organization called the Constitution Society the website at constitution.org
11:06
my candidate website is j n r o n
11:12
d.org by going to those two websites you can get a great deal of information
11:18
about not just my candidacy but about my work in this
11:24
field I tried to make constitution.org the ultimate reference site on the
11:32
Constitution now there are several issues that are of
11:38
special concern to me and why I'm running for attorney general the office
11:43
of Attorney General is uniquely positioned to be able to deal with local
11:50
public corruption and local public corruption is the incubator for corruption at the
11:58
state of national levels we need to nip it in the bud at
12:03
the local level and yet too all too often voters are so focused on the
12:08
national level the top of the ticket that they ignore the fact that at the
12:14
local level many offices may even be unopposed and they also fail to
12:21
recognize that in most jurisdictions the grand juries are under the control of
12:28
local prosecutors and a citizen cannot just
12:33
take a complaint to the grand jury and expect we be able to have action taken
12:39
on that complaint as attorney general one of the things I would be doing is
12:45
systematically opening up the grand juries of the entire state to Citizen
12:52
complaints and if there was something on which action was needed by the local da
12:58
and and he didn't take it to get appointed special prosecutors to follow
13:04
through on it another thing that I have proposed
13:09
it's not currently within the duties of the Attorney General is to establish a Statewide
13:17
grand jury called a federal action review commission or it could
13:23
have another name that's up in the air but what he would do is have the sole
13:30
jurisdiction of hearing complaints about Federal usurpations and if it found that such a
13:36
usurpation had occurred that finding would trigger
13:42
Statewide resistance by All State officials and contractors and Vice public
13:57
citizens next candidate is judge massingale judge massingale you go in
14:03
order you should do you should do uh the reface well I'm okay with him going next
14:09
judge massel come on up sir we're going to take care of
14:14
you thank you very much my name is Michael massingale I am a judge on the first court of appeals uh I'm not on
14:22
your list and in fact my office is not even uh on this two or three page list
14:28
of offic that will be on your ballot so let me take a second and tell you about the court of appeals and what is involved with my job um we are the
14:35
intermediate State appeals court between your trial courts and you'll you'll be hearing from some trial court judges and
14:42
candidates in a bit and the highest courts in the state which are the Texas Supreme Court for Civil Appeals and the
14:48
Texas Court of Criminal Appeals for Criminal Appeals my court is in the middle we're the first level of appeals
14:55
um for every kind of case in the state court system except for the death penalty those go straight to Austin and
15:03
um my court has nine judges on it there are three seats up for election um my
15:09
spot is Place eight on the first court of appeals and I was appointed to my
15:14
position on the court in the summer of 2009 I've been serving on the court uh for a year and about three months let me
15:22
tell you a little bit about my background uh why I'm qualified for the position why I'm asking for your support
15:28
um I am uh a fifth generation Texan grew up in an Air Force family lived uh my whole
15:35
childhood on Air Force basis I'm an eagle scout I'm a Christian and I'm a
15:40
lawyer uh I went to the University of Texas School of Law and my first job out of law school was working for the
15:46
federal appeals court in Houston I did that for two years doing legal research and helping to draft opinions for a
15:52
federal judge and then I worked for a large firm in downtown Houston called bakerbots uh I was at that firm for 10
16:00
years I I'm a partner at the firm and my practice area was primarily complex
16:05
business litigation I tried cases on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants all across the country I handled some small
16:11
matters too in fact I I tried a a carreck case in Angleton when I was a young lawyer but most of my cases
16:17
involved big uh disputes between large companies uh in business
16:23
disputes uh on the side as I was practicing B robots I I was the head of
16:29
a conservative lawyers group in Houston known as the federal Society I was the president of that group for 5 years and
16:35
one of the primary purposes of that organization is to promote the proper
16:40
understanding of the role of the courts in society and what that is is that it's the role of the courts to say what the
16:46
law is and simply apply the law and not abuse the opportunity uh and have judges
16:52
saying what they think the law ought to be now I was very very involved in
16:57
promoting that idea as a lawyer and when the opportunity to seek appointment to the court of appeals came up a little
17:03
over a year ago I was very uh uh glad to have been appointed by Governor Perry
17:09
and I promised Governor Perry that I would bring that philosophy with me to the court of appeals so when I'm asked
17:15
what are your qualif or why should you be elected to the court of appeals I have three reasons first my
17:20
qualifications as I explained to you if you compare them to my opponent I believe I'm clearly the most qualified
17:26
candidate for my position second ly is my work ethic I had to work very hard in private practice become partner at a big
17:32
international law firm and I'm a relatively young man for the position that I have I didn't come to the court
17:38
seeking a time off or retirement kind of position uh I promised the governor that
17:44
I would bring the same work ethic I had in private practice to the court and I've done that and I'll continue to work
17:49
hard third is my Judicial philosophy and I believe that's very important I'll apply the law as our legislature writes
17:55
it and I will always interpret the con Constitution as it was originally understood by our founding fathers my
18:02
name is Michael mingel I would appreciate your support in your vote thank
18:09
you than candidate for state representative
18:16
district 29 I like those boots Randy
18:27
Weber than my name is Randy W if you live in the top half of bori County or mord County I
18:32
am your state representative before I forget my bride of 34 years this coming
18:38
November the 6 is right there wave at us Brenda I am married to the to the cutest
18:44
scal this side of the Atlantic and we've been married like I said for 34 years three kids three grandkids I'm a small
18:51
business owner on Weber Z he for 29 years I started it from scratch I know what work ethic is Michael uh I'm with
18:58
you there uh I am so I'm I'm an extreme conservative in fact I got the number one conservative rating in the House of
19:05
Representatives by voting your values and I got to well thank
19:13
you conservative Coalition had their dinners into the session and announced me as the number one conservative in the
19:18
81st legislature they called me up they said Randy you're a freshman rep you've been there here two one session how do
19:24
you explain this I said it's real simple I come from an extreme ly conservative district and I just voted those values
19:32
Right Down the Line I'm on the environmental R committee I'm on the public education committee brend teacher
19:38
school and as I said I'm a small business owner how many of y'all follow me on Facebook don't get to follow me on
19:43
Facebook our federal government is out of control we've got to get them off our
19:51
backs I'm here to tell you that I've got the business experience I've got the stamina I've got the energy thank you
19:56
Lord and and I a Christian by the way way let me get that out of the way I'm not real politically correct unlike our
20:02
president I do know what I who I believe
20:09
in latest figures out this morning we had an Appropriations meeting in Austin I wasn't there I was at the baring
20:15
chamber lunch but the Appropriations chair thinks the Texas legislature will be faced with a 21 billion with a B
20:23
dollar budget shortfall this coming session now we've got $8.6 billion a
20:28
rainy day fund I can make those hard cuts no more taxes no more fees it's
20:35
called cut government spending are yall with me you need somebody with a proven track
20:42
record that has a business when times get tough you got to tighten your belt and you got to do what's best by
20:48
tightening your belt for the business you don't get to just write your own your own check so to speak and Texas has
20:53
a balanced Amendment a balanced budget amendment in the Constitution so we don't have the luxury if you want to
20:59
call it that I call it stupidity that the federal government does uh Texas one
21:04
six states that doesn't have a deficit as I said $8.6 billion Surplus we go around and we talk to other legislators
21:10
as we learn how to do infrastructure education financing highways and budget control and those kinds of things and
21:16
other states say that they Envy Texas the conservative legislature that we have because we get it we know that it's
21:24
not our money it's your money and when I when we tell people give yourselves a hand y'all y'all got a great
21:30
conservative legisl when I tell people that we have an $8.6 billion Surplus other
21:36
legislators go how'd y'all do that and I said well it's real simple we didn't spend all the money now
21:44
that's a novel concept isn't it that's a real novel concept I will go back to
21:49
Austin to Fight For You Austin is 64 square miles of insanity surrounded by
21:54
the state of Texas and I'm just glad to be back in the district District here because it some of the things that come
22:00
out of the the uh the left there just will blow your mind again I want your vote I'm on the ballot November the 2nd
22:07
coming up Randy Weber your state representative thank you very
22:16
much candidate for state representative district 29 Jim
22:26
foreman not of microphones cuz I don't practice my speeches with one so I don't intend to give one I hope that's okay
22:32
can everybody hear can you guys hear me in the back fantastic thank you very much uh ladies and gentlemen my name is Jim foreman and uh I have the distinct
22:39
honor of being the libertarian candidate for state representative uh for District 29 which basically is as Mr rber kindly
22:47
put it is the top half of bizor County and also matag gorta County uh now I'm a graduate of Texas A&M University my
22:54
degree is in mechanical engineering the past two years I've been running my own business uh and that business has
23:00
succeeded in this recession because of two basic principles keeping a tight budget and keeping a low overhead and as
23:08
you heard that's an important thing now before I get down to business I I really want to actually I want to
23:15
sincerely thank all of you because being a third party candidate I have a very
23:20
very very small amount of money in my campaign fund and uh well I'm the young whipper snapper up here so let's say I'm
23:28
pretty much the underdog here am I right but you guys have invited me out here to open a dialogue and that means that
23:34
you're willing to give me a chance and for that I sincerely want to thank all of you so thank you very much now let's
23:39
talk about that $21 billion budget deficit folks that is not a number you want to sneeze at that is more than 20%
23:47
of our budget that's enough money to fund NASA for a year if NASA had that kind of
23:52
money we'd still have constellation well I'm very concerned about it half my family is employed by NASA I'm very concerned about that so
24:00
some people are telling us that hey we're just going to raise taxes you know we'll make up the difference Americans
24:06
right now are having problems making ends meet and they're telling us that hey you didn't give us a am of money
24:12
this year so we're going to take that money anyway I didn't like it when they did it with the big three the auto companies you think you'd like it when
24:18
Texas did it no other people are saying that okay well we'll just you know blanket budget
24:23
cut 20% cut the whole budget by 20% there is you're going to cut budget for
24:29
things like Law Enforcement Education how many folks in this room right now are paying tuition for somebody to go to
24:36
a college or a university I know there's got to be some of you all right if we take away 20% of State funding to that
24:42
institution who do you think is going to pick up the tab we are yeah so that's
24:47
not really sounding like a good idea either well folks I'm here to offer you a third option and this is the reason that I'm running today that third option
24:55
is complete budget overhaul I've looked at the budget it is over 900 pages long
25:01
it is not small but I'm willing to make a promise to you and I don't make promises that I can't keep I'm willing
25:07
to promise you that I will if elected sift through all 900 plus pages of that
25:13
bill of that budget with my red pen maybe a couple of red pens and I will
25:19
reduce consolidate or eradicate wasteful spending our budget has increased by
25:25
nearly 100% over the past 10 years while our population has only grown by 25% that means that our budget is growing
25:31
four times as fast as our population and that's ridiculous so suffices to say
25:37
there's some wasteful spending in there and I will find it for you folks there are two kinds of people in politics
25:43
there are show horses and there are workhorses show horse will tell you what you want to hear but won't get things
25:49
done and I know you're all thinking of somebody and I'm not going to name names he's at the
25:56
top and then there are are workhorses and folks one of the benefits of being the young candidate out here is that I
26:01
have a lot of energy and I am eager to use it I'm a Workhorse if you don't believe me ask my wife over there she'll
26:06
set you straight now folks I know that I've
26:12
spent all of my time talking about the budget I don't want you to think that I'm just a single-issue platform kind of guy I would love to talk to you about
26:18
voter fraud education gun rights unemployment My Religion proud Methodist
26:23
I've been a member of friends with United Methodist Church for 12 years very involved but uh unfortunately I
26:28
just don't have the time so if you would like to hear more about my platform check out my website pck j.org
26:37
Jim Foreman candidate state representative district 29 now candidate for district judge 149 Judicial District
26:45
Terry Tipton
26:51
holder I'm going to bring it back down home a little bit for you guys I can't talk to you about Federal issues and I
26:57
won't talk to you about about state issues because what I want to talk to you about are bori County issues I want
27:02
to talk to you about some of our children who have to walk into a courtroom because they've been sexually abused and face the predator and testify
27:08
about what happened to them I want to talk to you about families who've lost loved ones and explosions in the plants
27:14
and seek Justice in our district courts and I want to talk to you a little bit about parents who lost their only son in
27:21
a tragic murder those are the kind of cases that walk into the district courts of roria County those those are the kind
27:28
of cases that I've tried over the last 28 years as I practice law here in this County and those are the kind of cases
27:34
I'm asking you to allow me to preside over as judge of the 149th District Court I believe um that a judge to be
27:41
good and to be um Fair has to be at least four four key things what I would
27:47
look for in a good judge first of all obviously and that's experience as I told you I practiced law here for 28
27:53
years 12 of those in private practice but for 18 I gota go back to County keeps
28:00
changing as time goes by I've been a prosecutor here in county for 16 years part of that time I was allowed to uh
28:07
work for a special prosecution unit where I traveled to State and prosecuted the crimes that occurred on TDC units
28:13
that allowed me the opportunity to try cases in other counties in front of other district courts which was um a
28:19
wonderful experience but in that time as I practiced I I also in those 12 years
28:25
of Private Practice did civil cases so I have handled cases on both sides of
28:30
the docket that would be heard in this particular court several years ago I went back to school hoping that it would
28:36
make me a better prosecutor I attended Alvin Community College and became a licensed peace officer I wanted to
28:42
understand what our guys and our girls on the streets went through so that when a defense attorney said to me they didn't do it right I can turn around and
28:49
understand their training and their reactions and have a great response to that uh still carry my commission today
28:57
in and the second thing I would look for in a good judge that I expect is respect in the courtroom not only for our laws
29:04
but to respect and understand that we don't make those laws we only apply them to the facts that come in front of us
29:10
that's what a judge does we don't decide what an outcome should be we apply the law and we don't decide that we're going
29:18
to make the law up we apply the law as it's written the other thing I think a
29:24
good judge does is respect the people who walk through the doors with a those be the attorneys the litigants the
29:29
witnesses or the jurors I believe all people should be treated with respect and a judge it should be no different
29:36
the the other thing that I think you look for in a good judge is a work ethic and I believe that my practice can ex
29:41
has exhibited that as well as my history I put myself through law school sometimes working two jobs while I was
29:48
going to class I met my husband the first year married in the second we had a child the third not the way I would
29:54
suggest you do it but I tell you that so that you understand understand I still graduated on time with advocacy and
30:00
Scholastic Honors that takes a work ethic and it's that same work ethic that's allowed me to practice law these
30:06
years and raised raised through children of course with my husband not by myself and um still be involved in my community
30:14
and in my professional life and lastly I believe that a good it almost goes without saying that a good judge should
30:20
have integrity um my priorities in my life are my faith and my family we've
30:26
been a 28 year member MERS of the Second Baptist Church in Angleton we've raised three children and been married almost 30 years that tells you where my
30:33
priorities are and who I am accountable to other than the voters of our County I
30:38
would ask for your support my name is Terry holder if you feel my experience and my values meet those of the people
30:44
here in Bor County and you feel like I could serve you in that position then I ask for your vote for the 149th District
30:49
Court here in Bor
30:55
County Jud District now our next candidate is our present office holder
31:04
and candidate for re-election our County Judge Joe King thank
31:11
you Randy I've been arguing with my ref since way before he got into office
31:17
when he was a kid but now I'm going to have to argue with you Brenda is a beautiful lady but I
31:23
have the most beautiful lady I married the old Sheriff's
31:29
daughter future feature twirler for einin and
31:40
TCU I'm un opposed it's been my personal privilege and honor to work for the
31:47
citizens of this country and this state for 44
31:53
years almost 41 of it in missor County I was in the Army I was a city officer I
32:01
was your sheriff for 24 years I've been your County judge for 4 years thank you
32:07
for that privilege and thank you for the honor that you've bestowed on me and my
32:13
family my wife's father was sheriff for 18 years
32:19
in this County and he Health the record until I broke it it's a privilege to live and work for you living Bor County
32:27
and work for you thank
32:33
you thank you County Jud Joe King I'm going to take just a little bit of an
32:38
injection right here um it's great to be unopposed they put the time limit on the
32:45
unopposed because of you there's only one way better to
32:51
be eight out of eight races four of them have been unopposed and that's the best way only one other way to be that's even
32:57
better than unopposed not up for re-election okay now our next candidate
33:05
uh judge County court of law number two in Probate Court holder Mark holder
33:10
another holder how y'all doing good good I was
33:19
conflicted I didn't know what I want to tell y'all today I don't have an opponent I didn't have one last term and it's a whole lot cheaper that one but
33:26
the first term I had a a contested primary contested runoff contested general election we worked hard to get
33:31
there I was sitting in court today hearing a family case and it impacted me of just where have we gone as a
33:39
society are we proud of where we're at no have we sent Washington the message
33:46
we need to send have we sent Austin the message we need to send Randy's taking it up
33:54
there that's not a backhand endorsement that's just we believe
34:01
something let me tell you this I'm not where I am but for the grace of
34:07
God I truly believe excuse me I'm get this is not where I was headed today just kind where I let to I truly believe
34:15
I'm not here except that not only y'all go into the voting Bo but God went ahead
34:20
it and I'm not proud of what I've done in my life not trying to be prideful about being judge or anything of that
34:26
nature but as I sit and listen to the problems that people have as they come before us because judge Warren and Dora
34:32
and judge Rickard going tell you what all we do and we do everything in the world it's kind of like the Johnny Cash song I've Been Everywhere man we do
34:39
everything man in in in our course a lot of it's criminal stuff the de's family
34:44
and I was just impacted where where we going has my generation dropped the ball maybe my dad is a member of the
34:52
greatest Generation bought a bter gunner on beef s I'll never forget his experience that he
34:58
shared they don't talk about it lot they're dying out but I do
35:05
believe that I'm doing what I'm called to do and I do believe I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing and when I quit
35:12
doing what I'm supposed to be doing I'm not going to be here thank you for your time thank you
35:18
for the Patriots for putting us
35:24
up thankk you J Mar uh County court of law number four judge
35:31
Lori RoR thank you very much thank you'all
35:38
very much for being here tonight it um it does my heart proud to know you care about your country you care about this
35:45
County you care about the folks that are uh holding the positions of trust and that's what uh that's what we all are
35:51
seeking is to hold that hold your trust and hold that position so thank y'all for being here and and seeking to be
35:57
informed um I've always been proud to be an American Proud to be from boria
36:02
County uh it has been my honor to serve you as the first judge in the county court at law number four um it's also
36:09
been a very humbling experience for me and um several folks have talked about
36:15
that but when you have folks that come into court that not always are at their best they're struggling or suffering
36:22
with one uh different problem or another in the in the county court we hear just about all kind of
36:29
cases my name is Lori Ricker um and we hear all kind of cases
36:36
and so there's there's just a wide range of folks that come in there and I try to look at every person in the eye and look
36:43
beyond the pain or or look beyond their words to see how God would have me treat that person and I think that I've done
36:49
that um I've applied the law fairly uh chips fall where they may I don't pick
36:55
who's who I think should win I just rule based on what I think the law is and so I want to thank y'all very much for that
37:01
privilege and I look forward to serving you for the next four years thank you very
37:09
much okay candidate judge County court of law number three and Probate Court
37:14
Jeremy Warren hello good evening I am Jeremy
37:21
Warren I am currently the judge of County court at law number three so I work with judge holder and judge every
37:27
day uh we have another County court at law judge judge Jerry Mills County court at law number one um there are four of
37:34
us here in boria County I had the privilege of serving as your judge of County court of law number three for the
37:39
last two years I was appointed back in 2008 by Judge Joe King and the County
37:44
Commissioners to fill a vacancy what I've done over the last two years um I
37:50
believe has moved cases through the docket quicker I've spent about 25 more time 25 % more time on cases um than my
38:00
predecessor by adding more days in the monthly calendar that I to dockets that
38:06
I can hear cases one of the uh problems that or one
38:11
of the main issues that I see uh on a routine basis in County court at law number three is dealing with the
38:18
juveniles U we here as judge holder said uh just about everything Juvenile and
38:25
adult criminal misdemeanor cases take up about 90% of our time with the
38:31
juveniles not only do I believe like judge massingale you follow the law as a legislature says but I believe we have
38:38
an extra Duty as a judge uh to make sure that those kids make the right decisions in their life and what I've done is
38:45
Implement an accountability and review docet every 3 months the kids come back to see me in court whether they're in
38:51
trouble or not and I reward them for making good choices they've made bad choices ches when they're on probation
38:57
then I'll lock them up and put them in detention but I believe that my role as the judge is also to make sure that they
39:03
are becoming productive citizens my wife Stephanie and I have been in boria
39:09
county for over 10 years now she's a school teacher um all of my family
39:14
members are School teachers my first job as a lawyer was at the DA's office here in boria County where I worked for 6
39:22
years I worked there until 2008 when I was appointed as the judge I prosecuted
39:28
all sorts of cases from your traffic tickets all the way up to murder that experience allowed me a prosecuted over
39:35
100 jury trials in just the short six years that I practiced at the DA's office I wrote several appeals to the
39:42
court of appeals where judge massingale sits that experience with the appeals and the trials allowed me to become
39:48
board certified I'm the only candidate in this race the only current judge that
39:53
is board certified in criminal law that's important because as I mentioned before about 90% of our time is spent on
40:00
criminal and juvenile cases that are criminal law areas we also hear family
40:06
cases as judge holder said civil cases up to $100,000 we are a probate court we
40:12
which means we hear people the states their guardianship cases and then
40:17
imminent domain or condemnation so just a little bit about everything I am your
40:23
Republican candidate for County court at law number three there's not a lot that
40:29
I can do about Washington or Austin except one thing and that is to vote on
40:34
November 2nd and in early voting I am a true conservative that's the principles
40:39
that I have I was asked earlier this morning what or earlier this evening about what I believe about what the
40:45
Constitution says I believe it says what it means it means what it says they
40:50
wrote it that's what they meant we as judges like judge Mill said are supposed to follow the law as written not make
40:57
our own so when you go in to vote next week early voting and November 2nd
41:02
remember who you're voting for and vote for judge Jeremy Warren County court of law number three thank
41:11
you jery Warren candidate County court of law number three now candidate County
41:18
court of law number three in Probate Court Dora
41:25
boner good afternoon good afternoon I'm in this room by myself good afternoon my name is
41:32
D B and I am a candidate for judge County court at law number three uh I
41:38
want to tell you a little bit about myself I am a resident of bizor County I
41:43
have lived in bizor County all my life I grew up in swiy Texas little little town
41:49
little north of here uh I've been living in clue for the last 30 years uh I am
41:55
married my husband is Wilbert Bonner he is the councilman for the city of clue for the last 25 years we have two young
42:02
men uh that are off on their own thank God uh doing a wonderful job no longer
42:08
having to support them and I am the only candidate for judge of County court and
42:15
law number three that's ever practiced as a private attorney I am the candidate that knows
42:22
what the client goes through when they get ready to go to court and have to face to judge I've been
42:29
there I've been practicing in Clute for the last 20 years I have gone into
42:35
courts on Family Matters I know what they're going through I know what the judge is talking about how things seem
42:43
to have just really slipped away and where the family is going and what our
42:48
our society doing about it matter of fact it's just kind of Precedence I had that same conversation today with
42:55
somebody in the district clerk's office asking them where are we going at one point they come in they love each other
43:02
they can't do without each other and they just can't live without them and then they come to court and they want to
43:08
air their dirty laundry where are we going but I've been there I know what's going through I know
43:15
the types of cases I know the types of evidence that needs to be put before the judge in order to make that decision I
43:21
know the family law Co Family Code because I practice in it every every day
43:26
I know the probate code because I've been there with the clients as they go before at a difficult time in their life
43:34
when they've lost somebody close to them I know how they feel I know what they're going through I know what the code says
43:40
needs to happen the probate code I've been there I know what the civil procedure is I've practiced I've gone to
43:47
court with plaintiffs and in the respondents also knowing what the law
43:53
says and how to present the evidence when you you go before the judge you want the judge to be able to understand
44:00
what you're talking about when you're putting on your evidence if you've never had the opportunity to put on the
44:07
evidence before the court you can sit there and talk to the judge so you blew in the face and they won't understand
44:14
what you're talking about it takes some experience and I believe that's what I bring to this court is the experience of
44:22
having been in the trit and knowing what to do when it needs to be done our law
44:30
is not perfect but as a judge our law our responsibility is to read the law
44:37
understand the law listen to the facts and then apply the law to the facts and
44:43
to render a just decision and I can tell you right now if you have no background
44:49
in family law when somebody's up there talking about what's going on you're not
44:55
going to understand what the code says as to what you need to do when you when you're talking about the law you need to
45:02
have some experience you can't get it all on the bench and W that was a quick four minutes my name my name is Dora
45:10
boner I am your candidate for judge County court at law number three and I would like the opportunity to talk to
45:16
any of you that would like to uh speak with me D Bon for judge count court of law number three thank
45:24

47:19
engineer by trade a graduate of Texas A&M University a professional engineer registered professional land surveyor it
47:26
has been my privilege to serve with judge king commissioner Adams on the court this past four years uh not
47:33
everything has been Rosy but we have worked well together and that has made the job much easier it's been an honor
47:40
to serve you and I also want to thank the Tea Party folks for having this very
47:46
seldom do we have a forum in the general election the primaries four years ago
47:52
Joe how many we go to eight every other night it seemed like every other night on Valentine's Day they scheduled two of
47:57
them which Jackie and Monica really loved that so uh uh in the in the
48:04
general election we very seldom have an opportunity to see the candidates side
48:09
by side in the biggest election so thank you very much for putting this on and thank you for the opportunity and
48:15
privilege of serving you thank

served two terms as County Commissioner precinct for and retired I also retired
49:04
from the construction business for about 30 years one thing that youve heard from all these candidates up here is the word
49:11
experience experience is very very important for you to think about when you're deciding who to vote
49:16
for uh I do have the experience I had the experience as a commissioner I have the experience as a Road and Bridge
49:23

53:23
$10,000 criminal class Mr Meers juvenile Class C fine only cases uh such as
53:30
failure to attend school and they serve as the county cor Justice Peace Court is a court of
53:36
people unlike the other courts we've have here a common sense Court uh
53:42
created to be a less formal setting place where you and I can go and represent ourselves and for most of us
53:48
it's the first and only dealings with the courts I feel the people of Bor County
53:53
won't deserve a full-time Justice of the Peace who is accessible Fair honest
53:59
willing to listen to your side of the story without a a preconceived notion of you or or the
54:05
case uh I believe that good things bad things happen to good people and someone
54:13
needs to be able to understand that in this position when you serve as the county corer you need to understand that
54:20
the person that has died is someone's family number small business owner who
54:27
understands the challenges that we face as small business owners in today's economic environment uh I'm a parent a public
54:33
school teachers a grandparent that understands the importance of Education uh in my job as a funeral
54:39
director I work with people every day from all walks of life and quite often it's their worst time in life and it's
54:46
these experiences I think that make me the best choice for the People's Court and I'm asking for your vote Richard
54:51
Davis for JP Precinct 2 place two and my thanks to the party for this opportunity to be here tonight thank you very
55:01
much Davis candidate for justce of Peace Precinct 2 place two candy for just of
55:06
Peace Precinct 2 place two Ken
55:14
Walters hello my name is Ken Walters and I can guarantee you one thing about the
55:19
winner of the this position he will be from danburry cuz we're both from
55:27
Denver I'm going to try to give you a quick four minute resume on myself uh I guess I'll start with faith
55:36
family and Community faith my wife and I are members of the First Methodist Church of
55:42
Angleton and I've always been a la long Methodist um family I'm married to my
55:49
wife Lori who wanted to be here tonight but we got up at 5:00 this morning rushed to St Luke's for her third
55:54
surgery on on her leg that she broke about 2 months ago and she is
56:00
incapacitated and we have three lovely sons who all attend danburry school district at this time from first grade
56:06
through senior year uh as far as Community goes I've
56:12
served my community by being the mayor of danburry for 12 years from 1988 to 2000 in 2004 some people came back
56:20
Danbury was having some problems with a little construction project they were heading going so they came back wanted
56:26
me to run for Council again and I did and I'm currently on city council so I'm serving my 18th year serving the
56:33
community of Danbury without pay and so now I'm trying to get a paying
56:39
job but I have worked for the last 17 years as an officer of the court with with
56:46
Brazoria County Juvenile and adult probation departments I've worked under
56:51
County court level three the most but I've seen firsthand in been in the
56:57
courtroom I know courtroom protocol I know courtroom procedure I have been around I've worked for 17 years with
57:05
District Attorneys with defense attorneys and with defendants and I telling you I will have
57:12
the compassion to do it because when you sit in that juvenile office and a young
57:17
man has been arrested on a serious drug charge or a serious violent charge and his mother knows nothing about it and
57:24
his mother and two gr crying grandmothers come into their my office and I have to explain the system to him
57:32
I fully emphasize what they're going through I know I've seen it many many
57:37
times I can tell you I'm a man who will keep my word I will obey the law I will
57:45
apply the law as it's written and I will do my very best to be a good Justice of
57:53
the Peace using my experience and qualifications that I've obtained over the last 17 years in the courtroom
58:00
system I am not a lawyer I don't pretend to be a lawyer but I do and I am
58:07
familiar with a lot of aspects of the law and of the penal code and the family
58:12
code and the Texas Education Code I'd appreciate your support if you live in Precinct 2 I know a lot of you do not
58:19
Precinct 2 kind of covers the south end of Alvin and comes around the west side and takes in Manvel
58:25
and uh it's uh I could my degree from uh Texas A&M University by the way I forgot
58:31
to tell you that I did graduate for Texas A&M in 1974 and um I
58:39
uh majored in political science and I could teach a political science uh
58:44
course on Jerry Mandarin by the way they drew these districts it looks like Jerry mandarine
58:49
I don't know but it's a tough job to do that I I will give them that so thank
58:55
you for your time and attention and I appreciate
59:01
it in case you're wondering the uh two gentlemen that are running for that position Precinct 2 place two is a seat
59:09
that's vacated by judge dubos in Angleton after 20 plus years of service
59:16
to your county he's retiring give him around of
59:22
Applause and now Gordon starkenberg candidate for Justice of Peace Precinct Three place two
59:32
unopposed I am Gordon starberg Justice of the Peace prct 3 place two uh judge
59:37
jck is uh Place one so we uh we both cover Precinct 3 and I think H just to
59:44
make sure everybody knows where they're voting how many in here actually vote in Precinct Three let me preing
59:50
three okay okay okay yeah got how many PRN
59:56
two okay how many pre synct four how many Precinct
1:00:01
one there's a whole bunch of people that didn't raise your hand this is a political forum and
1:00:08
you're here to find out who you want to vote for important thing find out where you
1:00:14
need to vote and which Precinct you're voting in which district you're voting it I used to be involved in County
1:00:21
politics so but now I'm elector official so I'll get back to that I do want to thank the uh the tea party for putting
1:00:27
on this function it is important uh a lot of Judges up here it's important to
1:00:33
listen to both sides right and that's why it's important for you to be here and listen listen to both sides I am an
1:00:40
oppos praise God for that uh as a Justice of the Peace one of those things
1:00:45
is we want to make sure that justice prevails and that's what's important to
1:00:52
make uh we're talking about our faith one of the of the things that that I do every morning is yes I read the Proverbs
1:00:58
for that day which talks a lot about Justice and and I also like to be a try
1:01:04
to be a wise a wise person okay so when when judge king was talking about his
1:01:11
lovely wife I looked over at my wife and she says so I won't say anything about my lovely over
1:01:17
here I I I intend to be a wise man so uh I'm also the uh the vice president
1:01:26
of the Texas Justice Court judges Association and also the uh the chairman of the legislative
1:01:31
committee had the privilege when we talk about maintaining Justice uh that's one
1:01:37
of the things that I promise that I will do is uh continue to maintain that Justice across the state of Texas when
1:01:44
it comes to JPS thank you thank
1:01:51
you questions do we have any questions while they start to bring up questions I'm going to walk over this way for the
1:01:58
ones that did not raise your hand if you are wondering which PRN you live in I
1:02:04
want to bring your attention to these
1:02:09
M car for governor elas is
1:02:15
itas is it please come forward she going to
1:02:23
say what here here what did you say she's Whispering so low I cannot
1:02:30
hear her well you got to have voice can you introduce yourself sure I
1:02:36
I just I just wanted to introduce myself I'm here on behalf of Governor Perry um
1:02:42
who's running for governor and um I will be here um for a few minutes after
1:02:47
tonight if any you would like to get involved in our campaign or have any questions please come find me I also
1:02:53
have my cards in the back the table so thank you so much for having me tonight thank
1:02:58
youate
1:03:05
here
1:03:22
okay sorry I got you in office the first time I
1:03:27
got and she did too by the way I don't know if y'all know Dolly
1:03:34
Edge or not dolly is The Edge believe me
1:03:39
okay you remind them if they want to ask questions that they all they have to do is their hand we have cards for you
1:03:48
Susan you did a wonderful job of reminding them if you have a question please raise your hand we'll get a card
1:03:53
to you you can fill out your question and just pick up the question we'll raise it back up so we can see it and
1:03:59
we'll pick it up all right a c a question for all the opposed
1:04:07
candidates so if you're opposed what's your opinion of the tea
1:04:12
party please sir you're opposed just stand right where you at I think it's
1:04:17
one of the most unique things I've seen in American politics it's uh I think the longevity of the tea party will be tied
1:04:24
to if it stays bipartisan or not and uh I think that uh we've seen movements
1:04:31
start up in the past like John Anderson in the 1970s and but they always started
1:04:36
in Ross perau in the 90s and we they've come and gone and Longevity should be
1:04:42
the key if you want to keep your organization together and I think the way to do that is to remain bipartisan
1:04:48
and to use yourselves in an influential way on both parties thank you Ken Walters
1:04:56
Richard Davis what is your opinion of the tea party I think it's very exciting to see a movement in today's environment
1:05:03
in our country the things have just gone to heck in a hand basket to quote a old
1:05:09
guy but I think it's wonderful that the te party is rising they waken people up
1:05:14
and it doesn't matter if you're democrat or republican we're in this country you know our constitutions by our forefathers and we need to follow that
1:05:21
and I think it's been wonderful that tea party movement has brother to our attention Thank you Rich
1:05:28
Davis Larry Stanley what is your opinion of the Tea Party well I think it's a
1:05:34
great thing for America it's a great thing for bori County and for Texas I applaud each one of you for doing this
1:05:41
for being here being a part of this and being interested enough to come tonight I was at a forum this week and the
1:05:47
person there said I have nothing to do with Washington I have nothing to do with Austin I can't do anything about
1:05:52
that you can't can do something about Washington you can do something about Austin and you people are doing you're a
1:05:59
member of the tea party organization you're a member of a group of people that are interested enough to stand up and say I don't like what's going on and
1:06:06
I'd like to change something to make it better for all of us so I applaud each one of you and I'm very proud of each
1:06:12
one of you for coming out of the house tonight and when you go vote I saw that I only had two voters from precin for I
1:06:19
know I got half of those because my wife hope I
1:06:25
hope thank you thank you when you go vote don't go alone take your neighbors
1:06:33
take your children take your friends take people you don't know just load them up and haul them down there and
1:06:39
make them vote and have a voice on our future for
1:06:47
America what is your opinion of the Tea Party If my people will call by my name
1:06:54
that humor themselves and turn from their Wicked Ways then will I hear from
1:06:59
heaven and heal their land that's my understanding is what the Tea Party is all about bringing God back into the
1:07:06
authority that he already is to help people to understand that God has a plan
1:07:12
for America and when we listen to his plan then America will go forward the
1:07:19
tea party as I understand it is bipartisan and and so when we can all
1:07:26
call God as to who he is it doesn't matter whether you're Democratic or
1:07:31
whether you're Republican it matters what you believe and who you believe is
1:07:36
in control thank
1:07:41
you candidate Jeremy Warren you know the question yes go
1:07:47
right ahead I think the Tea Party is very interesting I believe that in order
1:07:52
to get people to think and to think about who they're voting for we need movements like this in our country
1:07:59
because you're making Republicans think you're making Democrats think and
1:08:04
whether or not they come to the middle and agree or or if they go to the other side away from you I would urge you not
1:08:12
to go one side or the other don't go extreme one side don't go extreme the other but keep people thinking about
1:08:18
what's going on in our country to get it back to where our Founders had it
1:08:26
thank you uh Carrie I'm excited about it um for too
1:08:33
long too many people who are just middle class folks sitting in their living room thinking it shouldn't be that way it shouldn't be that way finally there's a
1:08:40
surge of people to stand up and say listen to us we are the citizens of this country it was we were founded as a
1:08:47
Christian Nation we were founded in our Constitution that should be applied and not Rewritten because it means what it
1:08:53
says and and the you guys and the folks who are going to Washington are standing up and saying listen to us it's time we had
1:09:00
a voice and you're providing that you're doing that and I'm very excited about it and I thank you for
1:09:10
it you for uh I quite honestly I think it's phenomenal um I think I'm in this race
1:09:17
where the same reason that the tea party was created we're sick and tired of the status quo and I think that it's
1:09:23
actually become a very uh viral problem that people believe that one person can't make a difference but all of you
1:09:30
being here tonight you you've proved them wrong so again thank you very
1:09:39
much te party you
1:09:44
rock I've been in it from the get-go couldn't be here April the 15th when there was a tax day rally at the post
1:09:50
office because we were in session when I got to the July third one wasn't it and I have never backed up I've
1:09:57
supported it with time talents and money and I would encourage you to get involved and you do the same in case I
1:10:03
haven't mentioned it tea party you
1:10:11
rock you yes sir please what is your what is your opinion to the te
1:10:18
party I think it's an incredible uh reflection of the American Spirit it's a
1:10:24
truly American movement uh there's a profound dissatisfaction with a government in the direction of our
1:10:29
country if it were just about dissatisfaction with Democrats in Washington then then everybody in the
1:10:35
Tea Party would just embrace the Republican party and that's not what's happening people were just dissatisfied with Republicans and state government
1:10:42
they'd go vote Democrat or they'd embrace the Democrat Party and that's not what's happening this is a group of
1:10:48
people who are saying they want to be heard they don't want to be heard through the filter of Party politics or uh what has not been working in the past
1:10:54
so I salute you for that and I've been to a number of of tea party type events and one thing I find very um uh
1:11:02
refreshing and promising about the movement is that there's always a stack of constitutions to be had and I carry
1:11:09
mine around what that says to me is we all still share these common principles
1:11:14
we all still hold them dear and we all still want to see our government adhere to these founding principles and I think
1:11:21
with people like this we're going to do it thank
1:11:28
Mr John ran the T Party Movement is wonderful
1:11:33
when I started the Constitution Society in 1994 I was a voice in the
1:11:40
wilderness I was considered an oddball as a constitutionalist now I have all these
1:11:48
wonderful people standing up and demanding strict compliance with the con
1:11:53
institution as originally understood that's fantastic
1:12:00
however demanding that is only the first step because if you go to court and win
1:12:07
a case if you don't write the order for the judge to sign it's he's liable to
1:12:14
turn to your opponent and take the version that your opponent wrote you now need to go on to the next
1:12:21
step which is to understand the problems well enough to either develop Solutions
1:12:27
in detail or recognize solutions that are developed by others that's your mission
1:12:34
now thank you sir we have two question one question
1:12:42
for Two Gentlemen Jim Foreman Randy
1:12:47
Weber do you favor photo voter ID and
1:12:53
why Jim do you'll take it first um as most of you know voter fraud
1:13:00
was a big issue in the last legislative session and it's still a huge issue and I I think we've only touched the tip of
1:13:05
the iceberg voter fraud is a problem I guarantee it of driver's license can be
1:13:11
ordered on the internet and can be in your house in less than a week but even worse is that we are now resorting to electronic ballot
1:13:18
systems now I know every single one of you knows there's a kid on your block he's probably 15 16-year-old he has a
1:13:24
knack for computers correct that kid could probably print five maybe six driver's license and get five or six
1:13:31
votes or he can hack one of those computers and he can steal hundreds maybe thousands of votes so we need to
1:13:36
look at the voter fraud issue for sure absolutely
1:13:42
thank you bet I've been an election judge and election clerk for 20 something years had to had to resign
1:13:49
that to run for your State Rep in the House of Representatives last time the the Democrats chub you'd think about as
1:13:55
filibustering they killed the voter ID Bill the last 4 days of the calendars I
1:14:00
was I was very very proud of our Republican caucus they came to us and they said we'll stop filibuster we were
1:14:06
ready to stay there night and day if you'll take voter ID off the table and I stood up in that caucus as a freshman I
1:14:13
said I know I'm new but no way not on our watch if we let them hold us hostage one time they'll do this again we need
1:14:21
voter ID and we need it now and I'm here to tell you we think we're going to get it through this session so keep the pressure
1:14:33
up Mr Rand if elect give it what would you do to keep attorneys pushing for
1:14:40
imprisonment of those who refuse to pay child
1:14:50
support the attorney general has been given the job of enforcing child
1:14:56
support unfortunately that too often means spending more
1:15:02
money to enforce it than could be than
1:15:08
it that it brings in the use of these kinds of punitive
1:15:16
measures do not work very well and we have to face the fact
1:15:24
I'm in favor of moving Child Support Enforcement down to
1:15:29
the county level the Attorney General's office can
1:15:35
provide a computer system and can help in finding people but ultimately the
1:15:42
enforcement needs to be done at the local level right now we have the Attorney
1:15:49
General his office that is is spending more money
1:15:55
than he's bringing in and that is not the way to run a government thank you
1:16:04
sir count Judge Joe King there are several game rooms in
1:16:10
Alvin where they have slot machines how can this be
1:16:17
legal it's not
1:16:26
the legislature needs to tighten the game
1:16:31
room rules and laws game rooms can operate as long as
1:16:37
they give novelty prizes when I was Sheriff we raided them
1:16:44
all the time your present Sheriff who was my chief Deputy for 19 years is
1:16:50
still raiding them we need need to be able to seize the machines again instead
1:16:59
of just the electronics out of it sees their buildings the only thing we can
1:17:05
get right now is the mo what they call the motherboard when I was sherff we we
1:17:11
took the whole machine and sold them on
1:17:17
eBay in other states in other
1:17:23
so we need to be able to not only seize their cash their motherboard but the
1:17:29
building and every asset that's attached to
1:17:37
it what is this new little car that the sheriff's department confiscated tell us
1:17:45
about that please I've just seen it yes I have I've seen a
1:17:50
picture but it I guess if you go to the parade Saturday morning you'll get to
1:17:55
see it I seen it out in the shop this afternoon and it's a golf cart that
1:18:01
looks like a pickup truck and is painted white and has green stripes and a star
1:18:09
on the side and says seized from your local drug
1:18:18
dealer the legislature has made that possible where we can seize and Drug
1:18:24
transactions lots of things and in that we even took his saddle with his silver
1:18:29
ornaments on it thank
1:18:35
you okay for Dora boner and Jeremy War name one thing that sets yourself
1:18:43
apart from your opponent I am still undecided Mrs boner
1:18:49
you want to take the first one thank you I believe the one thing that sets us apart is the experience
1:18:57
practical experience in the trenches being an attorney having
1:19:03
clients understanding what it means to go before the judge I believe that's what sets us a part we're both college
1:19:11
educated we're both graduates of law school also the fact that I've got a
1:19:18
little bit more uh experience just life experience experienced a lot of more
1:19:24
things just from just living but I think the number one thing is the fact that I
1:19:30
understand what it means to go into court with a client and be able to
1:19:35
present evidence thank
1:19:41
you War I could stick my name on yes I agree
1:19:49
it's experience but it's the experience of being the judge knowing the cases
1:19:55
that come through there knowing the type of evidence to let in in the trial knowing how to be a judge in a trial in
1:20:02
court it's that experience that sets me apart from Miss boner so I'm asking to
1:20:07
remain your
1:20:13
judge for both our state representative candidates here's the question will you
1:20:19
make a resolution at the state level calling for removal of President Obama from
1:20:26
Office using the 25th Amendment not fit for the office
1:20:41
mentally I just read what I have ladies and gentl well I made a point earlier and
1:20:48
I'll make it again I'm here to work for you if this is what you want I'd be happy to do it
1:20:58
you I I think that would pass in this in this room right
1:21:03
now how many of y'all remember who Will Rogers was have you all seen the bumper sticker
1:21:10
said Will Rogers never met Barack Hussein Obama yeah sure you bet it that's what
1:21:16
we want we've been fighting the EPA on the environmental regulations committee I'm tired of the federal over and he is
1:21:23
the chief suspect the complainer in Chief he needs to go you
1:21:39
bet already got
1:21:46
it blank did that one that was for judge
1:21:52
king okay uh Representatives we still have one more question for
1:21:57
y'all uh R Randy Weber will you sign a pledge to end the property tax in
1:22:04
Texas the Texas conservative Coalition the ones that gave me the most conservative rating we're looking at the
1:22:10
numbers we're actually running the numbers it's time for the school district's funding the school education
1:22:15
system not to be on the back of the property owners we
1:22:21
need we need to spread that out so we're doing those numbers we're crunching
1:22:27
those numbers it's time for the illegals to pay their fair
1:22:34
share so in a nutshell yes Jim Foreman different question on
1:22:43
your blog site it says you favor legislation for drugs is this
1:22:49
true I knew that libertarian bit was going to bite me sooner or later folks I have no intention of
1:22:56
passing any regulation as far as legalizing drugs I know you're probably
1:23:01
familiar with proposition 19 in California where they're trying to legalize it as far as uh medicinal use
1:23:07
folks I have no intention of of presenting that sort of legislation because of one reason and one reason
1:23:14
only you cannot test in the field for drug sobriety you can test for
1:23:21
alcohol content we have breathalyzers we have that ability but we don't have the ability until the technology is there
1:23:26
it's off the table so I want to be clear about that I support the libertarian
1:23:32
party and I and I appreciate their opinion we're all entitled to an opinion
1:23:37
and again I would consider it I'll look at it but until you can prove to me that there are not going to be people who are
1:23:43
smoking marijuana and then driving on our streets risking the lives of our children absolutely
1:23:51
not one more question for both you and Randy do you favor prayer in public
1:23:59
schools the thing that I think is shameful about uh taking religion out of schools is that they're taking it all
1:24:06
out of schools I support hey if you're Buddhist if you're Jewish if you're Catholic if
1:24:12
you're Methodist if you're Baptist you have each and every one of you has a right to pray in school and you should
1:24:19
not be punished if you're going to pray out loud that's your right our founding fathers founded this
1:24:24
country on three inalienable rights that's a hard word to say we have the right to life we have the right to
1:24:30
Liberty we have the right to Pursuit of Happiness the most important one there is Pursuit of Happiness My Religion
1:24:37
makes me happy and I have every right to practice it where and when I please the same goes for our
1:24:45
schools as long as there are tests in school there will be
1:24:51
prayer yes I do the Ten Commandments are good enough for the Supreme Court they're
1:24:56
good enough for us all right you bet you bet you when I went to school we
1:25:02
started every day with the prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance what's wrong with us you bet our favorite when I was
1:25:09
on city council I wanted I wanted to fight that fight on parine city council and I couldn't get two other council
1:25:15
members to con convinced to we should ought to have that in our city hall The Ten Commandments we I'm glad General
1:25:21
Abbott fought the lawsuit to keep the Bible on the grounds and we ought to have it back in our
1:25:32
schools stand back up please sir how will you get property taxes off
1:25:42
homeowners how will you get property taxes off home
1:25:49
owners that is going to be a battle that we we will fight in the legislature it
1:25:54
will be a hard battle make no mistake you want somebody with political will
1:26:00
with stamina with courage with a track record uh we're going to have to crunch
1:26:05
the numbers we're going to have to say enough is enough our taxes can't keep Rising we will look at the budget we
1:26:12
will probably go with a consumption tax read my lips no new fees no new taxes in
1:26:18
this session we cut the budget and we're not going to add to it we can't add fees to it so I'm not in favor of adding fees
1:26:25
judge it's got to be done by cutting property taxes probably a consumption
1:26:31
tax we'll grunch the numbers and that'll be the battle we will fight
1:26:42
thank okay any other questions that I may have missed I have one other thing right here that I going to take care of
1:26:49
Susan nope okay first off I've been doing or going to
1:26:56
meet your candidate nights for now 20 you got a
1:27:05
question both state representatives what do you propose to do something about
1:27:12
illegal immigration I can't do this in one
1:27:19
minute I just tell you I can't do this in one minute uh first of all Joe Aro
1:27:25
Maricopa County
1:27:31
Arizona we need a fence on the border we need a compound so that on the south
1:27:36
side of the river they look in there and they say I'm going to wind up in a pink tent over there with pink clothes it's a
1:27:43
cheap it's it's a cheap way to seal our border it's a cheap housing alternative when we stop these actors on the highway
1:27:50
I don't care whether you're County whether you're DPS whether your ins whever you are ask if you're stopping
1:27:56
them for reason check their documentation we can do thumb prints in vehicles they'll give you an A-list but
1:28:02
we can ID that person we'll ratchet up crimes if they rob a 7-Eleven and they're here illegally the level of that
1:28:09
crime just went up it's aggravated robbery I've got about nine steps Ive
1:28:17
actually saved them on my BlackBerry I can't do this in a minute but we can do stuff to stem the tide quit the free
1:28:24
giveaways there's my red
1:28:29
line please sir yes sir I love all these hard questions it's exciting U as Mr
1:28:34
Weber said we can't cover that in a minute but and I really just want to add to what he said and that is we got to
1:28:40
talk to the employers you know what's going on we all know it hey I'm all for
1:28:45
people come to this country legally gaining citizenship and working hard strong work e or work ethic is hard to
1:28:51
find these days but if they're doing it illegally not only should they pay but those employers who are taking advantage
1:28:57
of the lower wage they're paying those employees they need to pay as
1:29:06
well I don't want to embarrass this man but I'm still going to call his name Mr Norman Parker would you please
1:29:14
stand Mr Parker Mr Parker sent this up it's not a question it's a statement I think the
