Automatic translators

Various automatic translators are available that can translate the contents of a web page from one language into another. The results can be confusing or humorous, but perhaps good enough to get the sense of the original. For example, Google has a Translator plugin for its Chrome browser that is easy to use and works reasonably well for most purposes if the roughness is kept in mind. Note that there is a limit to the size of the file or selection that can be translated, so you may need to select short passages for translation.

  • HTML Version  Robert's Rules of Order, Revised — Original 1915 Edition in one file in HTML for testing with translator tools.
  • HTML Version remote Google Chrome Translator vs. Microsoft Bing and Yahoo Babel Fish — Review of three of the most accessible translator tools.
